Colin McCabe a player and former conductor of Warrenpoint now also with Kingdom Brass received a medal for the best player in the Euphonium/Baritone section of the Scottish Championship section as Kingdom tried to qualify for the National Championships in the Royal Albert Hall. Unfortunately they just missed out by coming 3rd. The test piece was “The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea” by Derek Bourgeois. The Adjudicators were David Thornton (pictured presenting the medal) and Jonathan Corry.
